NIMS HEART 2 HEART PROJECT:

This is the First free heart surgery project in Kerala, under which NIMS hospital has been providing free heart surgeries to those who are under the poverty line. Till date 263 heart surgeries has been performed successfully for the downtrodden patients of Trivandrum and Kollam Districts of Kerala.

NIMS FREE MEDICAL CAMPS

The project aims at providing health care services to meet the immediate health care needs of the marginalised community in remote rural areas. The vision of NIMS is to conduct at least one free medical camp per day. A total of 332 medical camps were conducted in the year 2018-19.

NOORUL ISLAM CIVIL SERVICE ACADEMY

Initiated First school-level Civil Service training program in Kerala. Noorul Islam Civil Service Academy is a FREE school-student level Civil service programme named after the Veteran Gandhian “Padma Shri P.Gopinathan Nair. The students are selected based on an entrance examination followed by an interview. The eighth batch of students are undergoing there training currently. The noble vision of the Academy is to provide free training to the school students not only to prepare them for Civil Service and other competitive examinations but also to provide them a platform for developing interpersonal skills through debates, seminars, group discussions etc. Students will be imparted training in line with Gandhian Ethics, which would be completely free of cost.

FREE DIALYSIS PROGRAM:

Initiated Free dialysis project for the needy and the financially downtrodden patients. Till date 9548 free dialysis has been done under this project.

HIV AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES CLINIC

State’s first HIV clinic offers completely free treatment and drugs for AIDS patients.

REIMBURSEMENT OF TREATMENT COST FOR THE NEEDY ONES

Till the financial year 2019-20, a total reimbursement worth Rs 109019515 has been provided to the needy patients who underwent treatment at NIMS Medicity.

“NIMS AMULYA”

Free milk distribution project under which cancer patients admitted in Regional Cancer centre, Trivandrum, are benefited every day.

NIMS HARITHAKAM

Committed environmentalist, who established NIMS Naturals and NIMS Harithakam, with the aim of planting 1,00,000 fruit trees. Till date planted more than 40,000 saplings at various places in the District. Established a medicinal plant garden at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education with more than 1000 plants of the pristine Kanyakumari District.With the aim of promoting and preserving the traditional farmers and farming techniques, established Bee keeping (Apiculture) units in and around the campus of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education.

NIMS PADANOLSAVAM

The project is designed for free distribution of study materials to rural/ coastal students. More than 65 schools are included under this project where more than 12,000 note books, text books and study materials were distributed till date.

NIMS NANO CLINIC

Inspired by the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “ An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching” , chain of Small clinics in rural areas with all basic consultations and Laboratory facilities were set up to cater to the medical needs of the rural population.

NIMS TIGER

Training to Improve General medical Education awareness and Research (T.I.G.E.R) is an awareness project of NIMS Medicity under Mother Theresa Quality and Service Policy organizing doubt-clearing sessions in the field of medicine, sessions to introduce new medical technologies and treatment protocols etc. T.I.G.E.R will act as an anytime information for public by conducting various informative training programmes and seminars by giving an opportunity for public to interact with experts in concerned sectors.

NIMS SHAYADRI

“Earning to give”- is the purpose of NIMS Sahyadri packaged drinking water Project, where the earned income will be used for various charity schemes.
